1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the FairRide app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use FairRide.

2. Description of Service

FairRide is a technology platform that connects riders with independent driver-partners. FairRide does not provide transportation services directly. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of FairRide.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FairRide. Drivers must hold a valid driver's license and meet all applicable California licensing requirements.

4. Payments and Fees

Riders are charged the fare displayed at time of booking. FairRide retains 15% as a platform fee. Drivers receive 85% of the total fare. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.

5. Cancellations

Riders may cancel a trip before a driver accepts at no charge. Cancellations after driver acceptance may incur a cancellation fee. Drivers who cancel excessively may have their accounts reviewed.

6. Safety

All drivers undergo background checks before activation. FairRide reserves the right to deactivate any user who poses a safety risk. Riders and drivers must treat each other with respect.

7. Limitation of Liability

FairRide's liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific trip giving rise to the claim. FairRide is not liable for the actions of drivers or riders.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles, CA.
